BRIEF HISTORY

Smasco Without Borders Alumni Association (SWBAA) is a non profit and independent organization with headquarters located at Austin, Texas in the United States of America.

SWBAA was born on December 12, 2019 out of the need to unify former students in the diaspora to encourage peer networking, empowerment, and to demonstrate good SMASCO's citizenship by giving back to the school to restore it’s lost glory.

Our membership is drawn from all nations of the world out of the shores of Nigeria. From Africa to Europe and from North and South America to Asia not excluding the Islands and Australia. Through the sound foundation provided at SMASCO, our members can be found in various fields of human endeavors such as medicine, engineering, teaching, sciences, business owners, etc.

SWBAA members and friends work with SMASCO Old Student Association (SOSA) and with all actors and stakeholders in bringing the dream of restoring SMASCO to her glory. Through our joint efforts, we shall reposition SMASCO for academic renaissance and an institutional benchmark in Akwa Ibom State and beyond.
